SuperBowl LI Champions – New England Patriots

Final Score: 34-28. What an incredible and historic game Superbowl 51 turned out to be. The Patriots made an epic comeback towards the end of the game which is being hailed as the biggest comeback in SuperBowl history. We also had front row seats to the very first Overtime in SuperBowl history. It just kept getting better. The halftime show featured Lady Gaga and began with Intel Shooting Star drones flying in perfect formation behind the hit making crooner. We also got to watch as Lady Gaga appeared to make a jaw dropping leap from the top of Houston’s NRG Stadium. This is the first time drones were used in such capacity and it was spectacularly well received.

When Patriots Wide Receiver Julian Edelman made a grab for the ball surrounded by no less than 3 Falcons Defenders the crowd went wild. He literally managed to catch the ball around a fellow players legs before it hit the ground. Teammate Tom Brady, one of the leagues most celebrated quarterbacks, said,”It was one of the greatest catches I’ve ever seen” and the world was inclined to agree with him.

The athlete to score the game winning touchdown in Overtime was little know Patriots Running Back James White. Though not well known before, I believe it is safe to say he is a name on every ones lips as they discuss his game winning touchdown stretch in overtime. Not only that, but he also scored a total of 20 points and caught 14 passes, both SuperBowl records. Arguably his game play on Sunday night was MVP worthy, though that honor went to fellow aforementioned Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady. This will stand as his 4rth time being honored with that designation, though even he was heard to say James White may have rightly deserved the title. Perhaps next year? And in the meantime, has anyone found Tom Brady’s game jersey?
