Things have certainly been popping recently in the WWE wresting world. Lets get started with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. He was out filming for an upcoming movie based on the life of WWE Superstar Paige. As usual when The Rock comes through the WWE Arena, the crowd LOVES him. They don’t call him “The People’s Champ” for nothing.
Filmed in front of a live crowd, he called his former rival CM Punk and informs him via voicemail that he is “literally calling from the middle of the Staples Center with about 15,000 strong”. “I hope you can hear this…they are chanting your name”, he says as the crowd obliges by screaming the superstars name throughout the arena. Check out the clip below posted on YouTube:
Moving along, The Hardy Boyz are in the news. Speculation is rampant on whether or not The Hardy Boyz will finally be returning to the WWE before Wrestlemania. Many believe that may be one of the reasons they have decided not to sign new contracts with Impact Wrestling. And check out Matt Hardy’s tweet just a few hours ago:
It shall be an INTRIGUING week for the professional wrestling industry. pic.twitter.com/8pDkzwJu3y

Intriguing indeed. And last but not least, we must add the sad announcement of the passing of one of the greats. George “The Animal” Steele who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame back in 1995, died February 16th at the age of 79. Born William James Myers, The Animal was a legend in the ring, known for his imbecile persona and “Flying Hammerlock” wrestling maneuver. He will be dearly missed.
